What Is the Initial Assessment Form?

The Initial Assessment Form is a streamlined online questionnaire designed to gauge your FinTech innovation’s fit for the SEC’s incubation tracks. Completing this form helps you determine whether to pursue:

  • Regulatory Incubation (RI): Test novel capital-market business models under a tailored regulatory sandbox.
  • Accelerated Regulatory Incubation Program (ARIP): Fast-track onboarding for Virtual Assets Service Providers (VASPs) and other Digital Financial Service Providers (DISPs).

Key Prerequisites

Before you begin, please ensure you have:

  1. Unique Company Number
    – If you’ve already paid, enter your number and press “Enter” to retrieve your draft.
    – First-time users will have one generated when you save your form.
  2. Payment of ₦50,000
    – Required to access the form.
    – Upon payment, you’ll receive your Unique Company Number.
  3. Corporate Documentation
    – CAC Certificate of Incorporation & Memorandum and Articles of Association
    – Tax Identification Number & Clearance Certificate
    – Evidence of NFIU registration (if applicable)
    – Any existing SEC registration or “no objection” letter from another regulator
  4. Innovation Overview
    – End-to-end schematic of your proposed process (with explanatory notes)
    – Brief narrative describing the novelty, risks, and mitigants
  5. Promoter & Contact Details
    – Minimum of three individuals, including at least one Promoter and one designated Contact Person
